Today I attempted a painting a portrait of my Mom from an old picture. I thought our faces resembled in the photo. I wanted to capture the similarities. But I was surprised when it was completed because Mom looked like my sister!

It is amazing what we see when we sit back and observe. For years people always said my sister and I looked so much alike. We both never saw it until we looked at a photo of us together years later.
