After reading todsy's post on Tammy's Reading/Writing Life Blog, I decided writing this would be fun. The directions are to have fun with this ice breaker and list 1-5 imaginary lives.
Here goes:
1. Pilot
2. Archeologist
3. Photojournalist
4. Clothes designer
5. Coffee shop owner
I could probably write 5 more, it was fun.

Today, March 12, was Mom's birthday. We lost her 35 years ago. She passed three days after her 45th birthday. I remember the call from...

I’m continuing with 31 questions from a “Writer’s Whole Life Perspective”. 4. What special, memory building mom...
I always wanted to be a coffee shop owner.. i think that will be my slice tomorrow !
ReplyDeleteThank you. This one I'm really thinking I could do tomorrow.
DeleteI like this. I'd have to add bookstore owner and librarian. You have some very creative ones - photojournalist and clothes designer!
ReplyDeleteYep, I might have to combine book store with coffee shop!
DeleteLove this! I don't think I'm creative enough to be a clothes designer! At one point in my life, I wanted to be a product namer: the person who gives nail polishes and lipsticks their name! :)
ReplyDeleteNaming things require lots of creativity. I'd never be able to do that, but love the idea.
DeleteI always wanted to be a coffee shop owner too! As a child, I was sure I was going to grow up to be an archaeologist, though mostly that was because I really loved Indiana Jones! Neat topic--definitely bookmarking this as a mentor text.
ReplyDeleteMovies definitely romanticize this job. Even Jurassic Park.
DeleteWhat a fabulous idea! (I may need to borrow this for a future post.) I love how your five imaginary lives are so vastly different! Now you've got me wondering what I would choose. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, I borrowed the idea. It's fun how things pop into your head. I know a couple of those were pushed way down in my psyche.
DeleteIt is fun to think about what we might want to do in an alternate life, or maybe the next chapter in our lives.
ReplyDeleteThat's right! It's not ever too late, is it. Thank you.
DeleteThis is great. I was thinking, what would I be in my imaginary life, an artist, a writer, a baker, a photographer, a naturalist? SO fun to think about.
ReplyDeleteThanks! It is really fun to uncover the hidden longings.
DeleteNow I want to create characters who have these jobs and find out what their stories are.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Yes, I thought the same thing. It might be an inspirational way to begin a picture book.
DeleteI love this idea and some of those on your list can still be accomplished...like becoming a pilot! Your world is an open book! :)
