#A to Z Challenge Letter 4 D Is for Diner

D is for diner, specifically South Street Diner in Boston. Looks can be deceiving. I was there my last day in Boston. My friend, Carol and I sat at the counter, the only available spots. Families were having brunch. I watched the men hurriedly cooking. I listened to the men speaking sharply. We ordered and continued to observe the busyness. I ate Eggs Bendict with lobster. Oh, my! It was the best ever!

  1. Goodness, that DOES sound like a case of "Looks can be deceiving"! Eggs Benedict and lobster sounds more like restaurant fare than what I think of when I hear the word "diner".

  3. 'Never judge a book by its cover' comes to mind. Some of the best places are hidden behind unimpressive exteriors. Sounds like you had a great brunch!

  4. Appearances can be deceptive. Great food can come out of some unimpressive looking places, at least that's been my experience so far.

  6. Hi Pat - Thanks for visiting my blog. I've always wanted to go to a Diner. We don't have them here in Australia...well not on a regular basis anyway.
