I just finished the March Challenge for Two Writing Teachers and found this challenge. Last minute, I thought I would attempt it. I have not planned posts ahead of schedule. I barely selected a theme.. it was narrowed to two choices. I thought either travel or photography. Well, I also thought Children's books would be a great theme. But I chose to use the theme of photography for this April challenge. I am hoping to get more outdoor photos as the spring changes our view.
Luckily I have a new photo that fits with the beginning letter, A. Yesterday for the last SOL, I wrote about an upcoming art show. The art show began today. My friends and I have a few paintings on display. My friend took a picture of me showcasing mine. It's our first attempt to put our art in public places. It's exciting, we are proud. We've already met some other local artists. We're planning excursions to other art shows. We're taking steps to promote ourselves a bit. It's exciting. As is another month of challenges.
Oh how beautiful. I love art and now and then I dabble in watercolour and mixed media. Thanks for dropping by my post.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteLovely paintings, good luck n the show! Thanks for posting on my A-z - thought I'd let you know that all the links you left are dud - you have left out the '.' between the name of your blog and blogspot.com, so the link is not live and goes to a 'not found' page, which will affect the number of return comments you get. ReplyDeleteThank you! I'll try to fix those links.
DeletePat, I was excited to find another artist visiting my #AprilA2Z Art Sketching Through the Alphabet series letter "A" for angels. Painting is another art pursuit of mine and hopefully I will my way to doing that sometime in the not-so-distant future. Your exhibits are great and I can' wait to see what else you highlight during this month. Happy A2Zing!
ReplyDeleteCathy,
DeleteIt's my first time participating, thank you! I'm enjoying all.
I Saw your S post and am now Starting back at A.
ReplyDeleteKudos for going public with your paintings! It's a big (scary) step, and an important one.
I especially like the rooster!
This is my third year of A-Z. I'm doing two themes.
One was almost completely prescheduled, so it's been super easy. It's "watercolors" (really photos processed by an app) of trucks:

The other I'm combining with another April challenge involving a visual journal kept by a fake persona. That challenge requires posting (or rather making the journal entry) on the real day, so it's been a more "challenging" A-Z. I'm having fun with it though, and getting a new body of work done, which was my goal. The theme for that is shoes:

Thank you! I visited both of your sites. Great work. I love that this challenge is providing new opportunities to connect with other like minded people.
